Showgard mounts use their own sizing system, so a stamp that doesn’t quite fit a Prinz size might land perfectly in a Showgard one, which is exactly why a lot of longtime collectors end up keeping both brands on hand rather than picking a single favorite. They’re built the same archival way, holding a stamp by its edges rather than its face, and they come in the same kind of range: individual strips, pre-cuts for awkward shapes, and full sets built for specific supplements.
The honest answer to “which one should I use” is usually “whichever one actually fits the stamp in front of you.” Having both brands on the shelf means you’re rarely stuck without an option.
